It’s been said before, and I won’t be the last one to say it again but Mayo Chiki’s saving grace is the skillful balance that’s struck between all of its elements. You have beautifully twisted characters like Suzutsuki controlling everyone else through her schemes, though they’re well-intentioned, and gynophobes like Kinjirou and aichmophobes like Subaru Konoe. Funny how the two main characters each have their own weaknesses.
Kanade Suzutsuki takes everyone to a water park after telling Kureha, Jirou’s sister, that she’s happily going steady with Jirou. She’s suspicious at first, that is, until Suzutsuki agrees to help Kureha in her pursuit of Konoe. Poor girl, she doesn’t know that she’s a reverse-trap. Read the rest of this entry
