Were you expecting something substantial?

Enter the Galerie du Moe. In here, all you will find are two little girls, Alice and Yune. As to their antics and plans for the future, that will be revealed in the future episodes. As if. I had the voice of that old man running through my head as I typed this little tidbit here. Aren’t you peeps glad I did this?

Not one for modesty - are you Claude?

The next week and a half will be crunch week for me. I have a lot of crunch weeks, and they’re not going to let up any time soon! Having said that, expect the updates on this here blog to get a little more sporadic and don’t be surprised if I drop a couple of shows for a few weeks or so. If I’m able to, I’ll try to update, it’s just that time won’t permit me in most cases. Read the rest of this entry

Ao no Exorcist 14 & Ikoku Meiro no Croisee 3 – No Witty Title Today

And you're whining about that?

Whoop-de-doo, we finally get a glimpse of Ikoku Meiro no Croisee’s Alice Blanche, the spoiled princess who happens to also be obsessed with all things Japanese. Maybe she was the antecedent to modern-day weaboos and otakus? (If you get offended by that, you’re obviously taking things too seriously). I predict that she’s going to change into a more lovable character by series’ end, just like Lotte from Astarotte no Omocha – man, drawing parallels is easy.

"The company's only putting effort into these kind of scenes"

Ao no Exorcist recently got out of the ditch it’s been in for the past couple of weeks only to fall back into it. Time has taken its toll and the initial crisp artwork is giving way to the horribly mangled faces that you would expect to see from anime like Naruto or Bleach (Now those are two anime to sneer at!). I’d like to forgo all of the training camps and get straight to the meat of the plot, but hey, they’ve got to pad this series out so as to make it last long enough. Read the rest of this entry

Why, hello~ there

While IkoMei goofs around a bit and loses focus this week, Ao no Exorcist steps its game up in the thirteenth episode. I’d be willing to forgive this show for all of its previous sins if it actually starts getting good in a few weeks’ time. There are many ways the mangaka could develop Ao no Exorcist’s story. Now that we know the Order of the True Cross is linked to the Vatican, why not take a page out of Index’s book?

Ikoku Meiro No Croisee Loli Cute Moe Kawaii Girl Yune Claude Claudel Blanche Oscar Episode 2 3 anime review

Oscar's just too cute

I fear that by the end of Ikoku Meiro no Croisee, I’m going to have a library full of Yune’s strange faces. I mean, she makes one every five minutes or so, and that’s what I’ve come to attribute this show with. Bah, but that’s trivial. Something I’d like to know is whether or not the French spoken in the beginning of the episode was done well. Was there an accent? Read the rest of this entry
